Backstage Pass: Sinners on Tour (The Sinners on Tour) by Olivia Cunning

Backstage Pass

grade A academic pussy.

and a guitarist

and notes written on her torso because he's just inspired while pounding into her???? *****dreamy*****

Brian Master Sinclair is so sweet, so lovable, so open minded, and so talented in bed!

Oliva Cunning must know what she's talking about or I'm too clueless to be against anything in the book. I was so immersed in it I almost google the songs, the artists and the bands mentioned. Though the only source of music in my daily life is from a radio, I do get the passion she's putting in it. And how the characters converse? They seem so real to me.

But hearing the music while having sex? That's a little freakish. But! Since it's Brian... lol... I'm so willing to be biased and see it as cute anyway. Trey and a threesome? That was unnecessary. And the whole Jeremy's confrontation, it felt like a joke. Jeremy was introduced so early on in the book, I kept expecting him to show up. Once he did, it was a disappointment. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to feel there.

Absolutely a good distraction to bring me back from the paranormal world. And now I'm looking forward to read about Sed. He seems so intense and I'd like to find out what's there working behind his handsome face. Seems like book 2 will be a lot of sex and angst.

Soul Survivor (The Hybrid Chronicles) by Michelle Nicole

Soul Survivor

Fred gifted me this book.
***
Reading/enjoying a book is about your past experience.
What you've read before this book.
For me, it's bad for this book I've just read another similar one before it.

Hailee is a hybrid, half human, half angel.
The special one.
The last.
The ultimatum.
The one who has power to either save or destroy the world, the humanity.
Hailee is THAT special.

In the beginning of the book she reminds me of Bella... the innocent girl, not good with making friends, bad with coordination, trip over air...
and when she found Alex,
it was light,
it was easy,
it was warm,
she was falling in love.

Then Darkness was involved,
and the feeling shifted.
The whole plot reminded me of Extinguish by JM. Darhower.
With the girl having to choose the Light and save the world
or choose Darkness and end it.

And of course both Light and Darkness are so handsome and  in love with her.

And yup, sure enough...
the bitch always choose the bad guy.
Lol.

The book itself could do good if the author pays a little more attention to the continuation when scene changes. And not so much as repeating how handsome Alex is. Or the seventh, the ultimatum, when Hailee's true identity was mentioned. I felt like if there was a test at the end of the book, these must be one of the answers. ;)

Flesh by Kylie Scot

Flesh
an action/zombies/hot sex roll in one... uh no... more like roll in three?

Ali was a girl who survived the "infection" and stayed in her rabbit hole until she was out of food, went out, and ran into Dan who fell in love at first sight with her when he's 41 and divorced.

Then Finn found them and tagged along. And by all miracles or Al's beauty or her personality, he also fell for her. Finn's handsome and lethal. Perfectly what they need against all their enemies.

The author tries to give you logic and reasons behind every actions in the book. If you can overlook the instant horny despite all danger, the instant attraction, you will get to enjoy all three mentioned above, action, zombie, hot sex, oh and some witty remarks in between.

From my experience with the latest Hollywood romantic zombie, Warm Bodies, I was expecting her to end up with the zombie.. so when all these men showed up at the beginning I was surprised and keep waiting for "something" to happen or a certain "someone" to show up. But after about 30% and I realized that's not gonna happen, I switch my gear, accept the book, and got to enjoy it. Stayed up till 3 to finish. But to be honest, I skimmed and skipped a few lines/paragraph here and there.

HPV-Associated Oropharyngeal Cancer

Last month, Angelina Jolie got people so aware of breast cancer and BRCA genes.. I was deciding if I should touch that subject. But this week with the news emerging from Michael Douglas' statement about his cancer and oral sex... hmm... here is my conclusion.

1. Yes, oral sex can cause oropharyngeal cancer. It's linked to HPV.
2. Yes, go ahead and get the HPV vaccine.

Oropharyngeal cancers (cancers of the back of the throat, including the base of the tongue and tonsils): About 60% are linked to HPV. [Note: Many of these cancers may be related to tobacco and alcohol use]

Gardasil is also currently approved for use in men ages 22-26 – a "permissive" recommendation that differs from females of the same age group. Permissive use means that the vaccine is recommended, but not considered to be of sufficient priority to include on routine vaccination schedules. Vaccines recommended on a permissive basis are less likely to be covered by health insurance. A decision about vaccination for men of this age group should be determined by a conversation with the man and his doctor.
An important exception are gay and bisexual men (or any man who has sex with other men) and men with compromised immune systems (including HIV infection), who are all recommended to receive the vaccine through age 26.

What can I do to reduce my cancer risk?

The four most effective methods you can do to reduce your risks are:

  • quit smoking if you smoke
  • moderate your consumption of alcohol
  • eat a healthy balanced diet
  • take regular exercise

And while wearing a condom may only provide limited protection against HPV it does offer more effective protection against other nasty STIs (as well as being a good method of contraception to prevent unplanned pregnancies).

It's also important that you have regular dental check-ups because dentists can often spot the early stages of mouth cancer.

Blasphemous (Torn Series #3) by Pamela Ann

Blasphemous
Chaos. Drama. Cliffhanger.

Well, we all know that it's a series and we're only half way. But I'm getting tired of this.
Do your spell check. How difficult is it to make sure you write 'your' instead of 'you're' when talking about possession. It's already the third book.

And, you have to read Frayed before this. Why have the major thing happens to major characters in the secondary character book if it's not for money. I feel like being forced to read Frayed. And I know I will have to read Scorned if I intend to continue reading this series.
I love Bass that's why I'm still reading. He's the only thing that kept me reading. If it wasn't because I peeked look at the end I would have already put the book down after a few chapters.

This book is everywhere. Two breakups? And Bass was so hellbent on moving on... That's what leads to another book. So messy. So drama. Can't say the book's all that bad since it still provokes feelings while reading. Hate. Hurt. Love.

Now the series have 8 intended books in total. 8! And the last one being:     Untitled Novel (Carter or Bass) TBA. Are you kidding me?!

I feel like I'm being sharky posting the above review on Amazon. I sounded like people who criticize Entwined with You..... am I becoming one of them???This is depressing and I don't like it.... :(

Dr. Pajaree - the HOT OB/GYN

Since Mia Asher's making Dr. Pajaree a HOT OB/GYN who gets THE PERFECT BEN all HOT and BOTHERED..

Here's to show her competency a bit....
Why don't we start with a reminder about this New Cervical Cancer Screening Recommendation from the USPSTF and the ACOG which was released since last year 2012...

Key points:
  1. NO screening for women under 21 years of age
  2. Women age 21-65 should be screened every 3 years.
  3. Women age 30-65 who's done an HPV co-testing could extend it to every 5 years.
  4. If you're older than 65 ... well, you won't be reading my post if you're.

Entwined with You (A CROSSFIRE NOVEL) by Sylvia Day

Entwined with You
I pre-ordered it from the Amazon.uk website and this is the cover I got. No idea why the perfume bottle.... But.. anyway..

Friends told me about the bad reviews the book was getting when I JUST started reading it. I got it early... like.. woke up and got it. Even before people in Australia or the US. I read it as soon as I got done from work. I wasn't even half way and people already finished and gave bad reviews??! When I was still squeeing over how sweet and super cute Gideon was?? Unbelievable. And as soon as I finished it, I looked at Amazon to see if the rumor was true about Entwined with You getting hundreds of 1 star review...

O.M.G. So hard to believe people in this world sometimes...
"I feared what would happen if he came at me full force when I was so starved for his body."
"He was shaking, and I cried, overwhelmed by the knowledge of how much he needed me."
"My passion was for him, my desire inflamed by his desire for me."
**************
There is no way sentences like these belong in a one star book. Sylvia sure didn't wait many seconds before making it hot and heavy and intense as hell. I had my heart practically POUNDING reading it.

This book has a lot of Eva and Gideon in it. It shows his love for her. It's the love I love so much about this series and Gideon himself. So much. So intense. Everything gets explained. And their love has moved to another level. It's built up for it...The whole beginning of the book. Like something inevitable.

Then there are also a lot of other things happening at the end of the book.
Brett is back. Cary. Megumi. Deanna. The reporter. The detective. Anne Lucas. Elizabeth Vidal. Corrine. Giroux.

People are complaining that the book's been stretched. Well, there are so much happening. And with everything that's happening, Gideon and Eva are still the major part of it. And since I love love Gideon, the more the better and I promise... you won't hear me complain about the story being too long or the book's too expensive.

The only complaint there is though is that reading Crossfire ALWAYS makes me want to go back and reread Christian. They're both so rich and powerful. In bed and out of it. And I don't even have time to read unread books... And now I wanna reread both Christian and Gideon???! Thank you very much! Lol...
