Cruxim (Paranormal Fallen Angel/Vampire Series) by Carin Cox

Cruxim

oh Ame...

Amedeo is a Cruxim.. But he let people call him Ame...
I normally read vampires and love them. But Cruxim? Cruxim feeds on vampires blood and that got me intrigued. There are so many supernatural creatures in this book, Cruxim, Vampires, and now Sphinx?

I love the language. It's beautiful. I love the story. I feel so bad for Ame and his misfortune. Karin Cox made him so lovable. He's so trying to be good. To do good. The story is interesting  but I couldn't help myself and skimmed through some small parts of it... I never peaked look at the end of the book but with Ame I did. I had to know if he's going to be alright. And thank goodness he is.

Vampires in this book drink human blood. They can turn humans. They turn themselves to bats. They get burned in the sun. And die from a stab through the heart. Cruxim drinks their blood. And sphinx eats their flesh.

If you like paranormal, you'll like this book.

Finding Never (Never say Never) by C.M. Stunich

Finding Never
Finding Never is book 2 in Never say Never trilogy.

I loved Ty and Never from Tasting Never (Never say Never) so I didn't hesitate to continue their story in this book 2.

You should read Book 1 Tasting Never before reading this book to understand their background. Their problems. Their demons. Because this Book 2 Finding Never is all out solving Never's problems. Ty's problem is still in the dark. And I'm looking forward to find out about it in book 3 Keeping Never (Never say Never).

One good strong point about Book 1 is that these two characters knew they had problems and they tried to fix it. What I love about this book 2 is their strength to face it and the ability to forgive. Simple words and little sentences that can set their troubled minds free, "I love you" and "I forgive you."

Never dealt with her past. Get the closure and move on. She had to face her sisters, her Mother, the murderer who killed her father, and lastly she has to face her Noah Scott. They were in love. And they've never fallen out of love. So, Never had to chose. And she did.

"He's my..." It takes me the longest moment in history to answer this question." He's my soul mate."

Losing It by Cora Carmack

Losing It
I love Bliss. I love Garrick. They’re so cute and so forward with what they feel. Aww…
And I love love it that there is an epilogue from Garrick. It makes him much much nicer and cute and sweet. Not that he’s already all of that.
And the amazing thing was the length of the book. Just perfect. Not too long. Not too short. And she really draws you there in the moment. Love it >.<

My letter to Frankie de Wilde

Freaking HAPPY! Yippy!
I've read That Boy and That Wedding by Jillian Dodd.. and fell in love with Danny Diamond.
Then as soon as KC is out. I read it and LOVE it.
Then this awesome author Jillian created a FB page for all KC fans. Having sweet Mireya and Melissa as admin... what a brilliant idea is that?!
Then one day... which I can't remember when or what... we were discussing something.. and my proud good memory was challenged. I think she didn't even know that she should never doubt my proud excellent memory.. lol I PM Mireya because I was positive I was so right. Then we chatted and we continued to chat.. and she somehow popped the question...
what do you think of "this"... then send me a paragraph of her writing... then there I was... her beta for a book she abandoned... lol
I love Frankie and our "imaginary" friendship. I'm always thankful for Jillian and her amazing fan page. Because of Jillian, I met Frankie. Then Frankie leads to Lisa..
Somehow I get to beta read for Lisa's Plastic Heart.. and now with all the miracles in the world I get to read Date Me for Jillian. Can you believe it? It feels like a full circle to me.

Anyhow... let's go back to Frankie and her writing. I started as her beta.. but her book is still in the process of writing, typing, dreaming, screaming... waiting?! And somehow she's scare that her book won't be good. People won't like it.

Here is my promise: Frankie - THERE IS NO WAY YOUR BOOK ISN'T GOOD. It's AMAZING. Stop worrying. Your lead characters are HOT. And we who have read it are loving it. Don't you see how we're already fighting to own B? So, shut up. Just write. Get the book published.

Get your ass fingers to type and finish it soon! May is the deadline isn't it? Can't wait!
Muah!

Plastic Hearts by Lisa de Jong

Plastic Hearts
Plastic heart delivers soooo many good messages...
"Redemption isn't something that comes fast and easy. You have to put all your effort and heart into it to make it work. It can't be forced or bought; it simply had to be earned. It requires honesty, commitment and trust."

It's the kind of book that delivers its message without explicit sex scenes or obscene language. No cheating. No triangle love. And no cliff hangers.

Alex was looking for true love. A flutter in her stomach. A curl in her toes. A love she couldn't live without. And when she finally found one... It was with Dane who her parents will never approve of. Dane is handsome. He has a smile that melts your heart. Dane is sweet. Honest. And true.
"Life inspires me. Life is unfair, unkind and unforeseeable. It knocks you down when you least expect it."
"I have envied friends who grew up in happy families, but I also believe that my less than ideal upbringing made me who I am."

BUT he has tattoos and the most important.. he didn't come from a rich family.
Alex's parents are parents from hell. They are controlling. They are fake. They plan things for her and expect her to not walk out of the line. And when she decided to disobey them, they disowned her.
Lisa didn't make Alex life too easy. I had an anxiety at around 80% of the book guessing all the possibilities of how this book ends. I'm satisfied with the ending. But I liked the part where she mentioned 'sometimes second chances didn't exist.' Don't abandon your dream and reach for it.

"Sometimes when life hits you with too much, it makes you stronger and you learn from it. Life has brought me maturity. I make my decisions based on who I don't want to be, rather than whom everyone else wants me to be."

Have I said I love Dane? I LOVE Dane!! xoxoxo
